but for your answer, LEOs must undergo a rigorous physical test, and more physical endurance similar to the military’s boot camp training. After LEOs graduate, they no longer are required to undergo physical endurance testing. Most departments assume LEOs will take the time to exercise and stay in shape on their off-duty time. The obese LEOs you see had been out of the academy at least over a year now. Some of them will undergo personal problems with their marriage, which will lead to depression, and overeating.

Heh. Can they enter? Yes. They will be whipped into shape as they run about 10 miles a day towards of the end of the acadamy, but yes.
Many police do gain weight as they are on the force, mostly from having to eat fast food every day and from stress. I believe they have to qualify in a basic agility test every year or so, however. This is typically consists of climbing a 6 ft. wall, a 300 yard sprint in a certain time, and such.
