I really want to apply with the Police Force, but I have smoked marijuana recently, but I am going to give it up to join the force. I know that drug screen you and I am going to wait till I am clean to apply, but they also polygraph test you and ask about drug use. I am afraid the won’t take me. Does anyone know what they will say about hiring if I used to smoke?

actually the police force usually want people who have done drugs so that way when they find it they can’t tell wat type of drug it is….they know that because you have used drugs you can identify it faster..don’t worry just tell them the truth because if you lie and you say that you haven’t taken drugs and they find out that you have then they won’t except you for being as lire..hope i helped ^_^ good luck! ♥

If you are clean now, and pass your entrance exams, physical, and such you need’nt worry. Be truthful when asked about prior drug use as the interviewer can determine whether you are lying or not, as part of the selection process involves interviews on the phone or in person with family and friends, and you don’t want them to find out through them that you have used in the past, and have lied at the interview.
Oh please, cops do worst drugs than marijuana, go for it, you’ll fit right in.

A few years ago I was at the local PD picking up an accident report and on the wall was a posting of requirements for police officers to be hired. It said something to the effect of no drug use within the last 5 years, so I assume they don’t discourage past drug users from applying. Since you’re still considered a user until it’s out of your system, you might want to wait a few months and stay away from the smoke and the friends that encourage it in the mean time. When the time comes, be completely truthful during your interview and good luck!
First off, why would you want to be a PIG?
Second, you say you have smoked Marijuana in the past,
so you know it is a harmless way to relax and enjoy.
so why would you want a job, going around destroying families
by arresting responsible Marijuana smokers?
Pigs are taught ANYONE who smoke Marijuana are EVIL people.
Then again maybe you should apply, at least then you would’nt have to buy your own you just do like the other pigs and take it when you make a bust.

I say come clean. if they turn you down who cares but there’s more of a chance they’ll be less ignorant than you think and accept that your no drug addict and will come to there senses. the only other option there is to offer is to lie, which will most definitely come back to bite you.
